Clemens Dlaska is a theoretical physicist and medical doctor and leads the Digital Cardiology Lab at the Medical University of Innsbruck. He received Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees in physics from the University of Innsbruck and a MD degree from the Medical University of Innsbruck. In addition he was a research assistant in neurotechnology at ETH Zürich and a postdoctoral researcher in quantum physics at the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the University of Innsbruck. Current research directions he investigates with his team include the development and deployment of novel, clinically relevant, artificial intelligence/machine learning algorithms, as well as exploring how smart devices can be utilized to improve screening and diagnosing of cardiovascular diseases. Another research direction involves potential health care applications of quantum technologies such as quantum sensors and quantum computers.
